I too had seen people wearing 1,000 pound club shirts and decided I’d see where I stack up. I ended up maxing out at 265 on bench, 365 deadlift, and 405 squat at 175 pounds body weight. My guess is the 1,000 pound club really isn’t much to be proud of in powerlifting circles. Reply

Nov 04, 2007 · Highschool Football weight lifting clubs Are any of you in your highschool's weightlifting jamboree clubs? If so which one (700 lb., 800, 900, 1000, etc). As a freshman I made it into the 700 lb. club, benching 185 x 5, squating 280 x 5, and powercleaning 155 x 5.
For ATHLETES, this refers to a three lift total of Back Squat, Bench Press, Power Clean. The Athletes 1000 pound club differs from the jag/naf/gym rat 1000 pound club, in that, it disregards Deadlift and uses Power Clean. Dead lift is not an athletic lift. Power Clean is an Olympic lift.
